Kelly Guzzo partner Kristi Kelly was a featured speaker at a June mortgage training webinar hosted by the National Consumer Law Center (NCLC). Kelly presented information about Fair Credit Reporting Act issues in mortgage cases.
The webinar, which was attended by other consumer lawyers, was part of the NCLC’s 2020 Mortgage Training Conference. Over 400 participants attended the conference, which was held online this year due to the ongoing public health crisis.
Mortgage issues will remain an important topic during and in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Many homeowners are struggling to pay their mortgages, and there is evidence that scams designed to take advantage of vulnerable consumers are on the rise.
